July 25, 2020 - Pair of Top 5 finishes at Tri-County and Crossville, finishes fifth in point standings
1Tuesday night saw Tyler Millwood return with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. With the Top 5 qualifiers getting locked into the opening night feature, Millwood recorded the second fastest time in his group behind David Payne, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the feature. 1After a scheduled off day on Wednesday night, Tyler headed to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) on Thursday competing in a field of 18 cars. Following the fifth fastest time in his group, Millwood marched forward four spots in the 35-lap feature to place fifth behind Brandon Overton, Chris Madden, Cory Hedgecock, and Donald McIntosh.

1On Friday evening at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the 11th stop of the 12-race tour, Tyler edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat. For the final round of the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals, Millwood headed to Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) on Saturday afternoon. Recording a third place finish in his heat, Tyler locked into the ninth-starting position for the finale. With $10,053 on the line, Millwood dropped four spots in the 53-lapper to record a 13th place outing.

Tyler finished fifth in the Schaeffer's Southern Nationals points battle.

July 19, 2020 - Sixth place finish in Southern Nationals stop at I-75 Raceway
1Tyler Millwood was one of 24 Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals entries on hand at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the third round of the 12-race miniseries. Recording the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Tyler locked into the eighth-starting position for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. Clawing forward one spot in the 35-lap affair, Millwood recorded a seventh place finish.

For the fifth round of the tour on Thursday afternoon at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.), Tyler registered the second fastest time in his group behind Brandon Overton, earning him the third-starting position for the A-Main. After running in the Top 5 early, Millwood ran into suspensions issues that sent him pit side on lap 17.

The following night at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.), Millwood timed in sixth fastest in his group before placing second in his heat behind Donald McIntosh. Starting the feature in sixth, Tyler was an early retiree from the 53-lap affair on lap 20.

On Saturday evening at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.), Tyler logged a sixth place finish in his heat, locking him into the 21st-starting position for the $10,053-to-win A-Main. With more issues preventing him from finishing, Millwood retired early on the 13th lap.

1Stopping at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Ga.) on Sunday for the eighth round of the miniseries, Millwood followed up the seventh fastest time in his group with a fourth place finish in the B-Main. Charging forward six spots in the 35-lap feature, Tyler Millwood reeled in an eighth place finish.

July 11, 2020 - Pair of Top 10 finishes to open Southern Nationals
1On Friday evening Tyler Millwood invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) to kick off the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals. Drawing 35 cars, Millwood followed up the sixth fastest time in his group with an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting the opening night feature in fourth, Tyler dropped four spots in the 53-lap affair to register an eighth place finish.

July 6, 2020 - Tyler Millwood and Chris Madden Join Forces for Southern Nationals Run
1As he prepares for a run at an inaugural Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series championship, Tyler Millwood is excited to announce that he’ll be joined on the tour by teammate, Chris Madden.

“This is an exciting time for Millwood Motorsports to have Chris [Madden] joining us in an assault on the Southern Nationals tour. We have a long-going relationship with Madden. July 4, 2020 - Millwood bags first win of the season at Dixie
1Tyler Millwood made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday night piloting his Millwood Plumbing No. 31 Late Model for the Fourth of July special. With 18 Late Models on hand, Millwood timed in second fastest overall behind Michael Page, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the A-Main. With Page setting the pace early, Millwood began closing in on the leader as he encountered lapped-traffic. Inheriting the top spot after the leader suffered mechanical issues, Tyler soared to his first win of the season over Dalton Polston, Jason Croft, Will Roland, and Justin Shipley. He earned a $3,000 payday for the triumph.
