May 29, 2017 - Millwood Competes in Spring Nationals Finale at Rome; Volunteer on Monday Night

Tyler Millwood returned with the Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals series on Sunday night at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the series finale. In a field of 21 Super Late Models, Millwood locked his spot into the $6,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Falling short of a Top 10 finish, Tyler slipped back to a 15th place outing in the 50-lapper. Monday night brought Millwood to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned Freedom Isn’t Free 50. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Tyler landed a 6th place finish in his heat race positioning him 16th on the starting grid for the feature. Coming one spot shy of a Top 10 finish, Tyler Millwood gained five cars to place 11th. Tyler remains in third in the ULTIMATE Series point standings. May 19, 2017 - Top 5 Finish in First Trip of the Season to Carolina Speedway

On Friday night Tyler Millwood made the trek to Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) for the event sanctioned by both the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series and the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. After charging to a heat race win in a field of 24 cars, Tyler received the 11th-starting position for the 40-lap A-Main after the redraw. With $4,000 on the line, Millwood advanced through the field seven spots posting a 4th place finish behind Jeff Smith, Brett Hamm, and Michael Brown with Ben Watkins coming 5th. Saturday night's ULTIMATE sanctioned contest at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) was postponed to July 28th due to the weather. Tyler remains in third in the ULTIMATE Series point standings. With Mother Nature winning at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday, Tyler Millwood returned to action on Sunday at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned contest. Registering the fourth fastest time in his group, Millwood locked into the 8th-starting spot for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Coming one position short of a Top 5 finish, Tyler jumped up two spots in the 40-lap affair to place 6th. Tyler is currently in third in the ULTIMATE Series point standings.
