Brief History |
Tyler stated racing Quarter Midgets at 7-years-old. He raced Quarter Midgets for eight years, traveling all over the United States. He had over 100 feature wins.
Millwood then moved on to race Legend Cars, where he raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, competing in the Summer Shootout Series.
Tyler soon found himself in an Asphalt Late Model, where he raced all over the southeast for 4 years. He scored several top-five-finishes.
He than began his Dirt Late Model career in 2007. Tyler started out competing in the Crate Late Model division. Over the course of the next two years he registered 10 wins. After 2 years of Crate Late Model competition he made the move to Super Late Models. To date Millwood has 12 Super Late Model victories.
Competing in a total of 29 events throughout the 2016 campaign, Tyler Millwood reeled in 12 Top 10 finishes. With the weather determining the outcome of two of his scheduled dates, Millwood posted six Top 5 outings.
The 2017 season saw Tyler Millwood attend a total of 41 events aboard the Millwood Plumbing #31 Super Late Model. Losing seven of his scheduled dates to Mother Nature, Tyler collected 16 Top-10 outings and 10 Top-5 finishes. He also clinched the ULTIMATE Southeast Series points title and the Rookie of the Year award.
Traveling to a total of 35 events during the 2018 season, Tyler Millwood captured two wins aboard his Millwood Plumbing #31 Barry Wright Icon by Chris Madden/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model. With Mother Nature determining the outcome of ten of his scheduled dates, Millwood collected 17 Top-10 outings and eight Top-5 finishes.
Tyler Millwood competed in a total of 21 events over the 2019 season piloting his Millwood Plumbing/Hitson Construction No. 31 Super Late Model entry. Losing three of his scheduled dates to bad weather, Millwood tallied four Top-5 finishes and 12 Top-10 outings.
With the Covid-19 pandemic limiting the number of events he could attend during the 2020 season, Tyler Millwood traveled to a total of 43 races behind the wheel of his Millwood Plumbing No. 31 Late Model. He amassed two wins, seven Top-5 finishes, and 18 Top-10 peformances. |
